The essentials for running the cabin area

Practical operations are an important part of the association's identity. That is why water, electricity and road access are gathered here with a clearer structure, a more readable layout and a few short clarifications.

Our cabin water

Household water up to the cabin wall

The association supplies household water to cabins that want it, with intake from Nordre Aurevannsputten. Each cabin must arrange its own drinking water.

The season depends on temperature, frost in the ground and general conditions. In some years the water can be turned on by Easter if conditions allow, while in other years it does not happen until early May. In autumn it is normally shut off around the turn of September to October.

The pipe network is long, and parts of it are exposed above the terrain. This means damage can occur because of animals, frost or other external strain. Clear information about the water system is therefore important for everyone using the cabins.

Electricity

A shared network, but individual choices

The local cable network is owned and maintained externally, while each cabin owner is free to choose their own electricity supplier.

The point of this page is not to over-explain, but to preserve the same logic as before: questions about electricity partly concern the shared infrastructure in the area, and partly the individual choices of each cabin owner.

If you need clarification about the Dalbekk installation, the board is the natural point of contact for guidance. This page is meant as a clear introduction, not as a replacement for up-to-date information from suppliers or the grid company.

The road

Driving rules, right of use and volunteer work on Bjonndalsveien

The road is maintained mainly through volunteer work. Here you will find the right of use, the barrier routines and clear rules for safe and considerate driving.

Bjonndalsveien is owned by several forest owners, but Dalbekk Vel has entered into a registered agreement that grants a right of use. One driving permit and one barrier key are issued per cabin property, and a remote barrier opener can also be obtained in addition to the key.

The road is ploughed in winter and otherwise maintained through volunteer road-work days, normally arranged one or two times each year. The last Saturday in May is often a natural time for a road-work day.
